About Us

About Us

Established in 2022 by likeminded humanitarian workers and academia to respond to the humanitarian and developmental challenges nationwide, the COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AGENCY (CRA) is a national non-profit, non-governmental organization (NNGO), fully registered under the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission

(RRC) and Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in the Republic of South Sudan. Committed to sustainable livelihoods and the well-being of vulnerable children and populations across South Sudan’s urban and rural areas, CRA provides essential services in four (4) thematic areas namely: General protection (Child Protection, Gender Based Violence and Mine Risk Education), water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, food security and Livelihood (FSL) , and HIV/AIDS response . Through participatory approaches and strategic planning, CRA work in partnership with international donors, UN agencies, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs) to address urgent humanitarian crises caused by human-caused and natural disasters nationwide. We contribute to the post conflict rehabilitation, emergency relief operations, development intervention, advocacy, and research in population affected by the armed conflicts or natural disasters. We integrated gender equality and HIV/AIDS as key crosscutting issues in all projects we implement and community we run.

Our Mission

Our Vision

A community where all citizens can achieve their rights and fulfill their responsibilities.

CRA PURPOSE

As professionals on food security and livelihood, sustainable development and environmental conservation, the founders felt an urgent need to use social investment interventions among local communities living near or around sensitive ecological zones including water towers, wetlands and arid and semi-arid regions.
